Adrian Martin is an Irish chef brought up in County Cavan, Ireland. He trained in some of Ireland’s most renowned restaurants including MacNean House (where he worked for six years) and Michelin Star restaurant, Bon Appetit in Malahide where he was head of Pastry. While working in kitchens he studied pastry in DIT Kevin Street, Professional Cookery in South West College Enniskillen and holds a degree in Culinary Arts from the School of Tourism, Killybegs.
7 days before the first Covid 19 lockdown Martin opened Wildflower based in Camden Market, that focused on sustainability and food in its ripe form. During its three and a half years of trading Wildflower was nominated as the best newcomer restaurant in the UK at the Cateys, Hardens Listed and the Murphia List for top Irish Restaurants in London.
Martin is a regular staple on our screens. As resident chef on Virgin Medias Six’ O Clock Show for the last 10 years as well as multiple guest appearances on Tv in the Uk and Ireland. Adrian has also hosted several of his own cookery shows. These include “Fakeaway” & “Chef Adrian Eats Ireland” for RTE, “Wild Cooks” for BBC & “Cook” on Amazon Prime Video.
As a published author, Martin has released Three cookery books, two of which have become bestsellers across Ireland & UK including; “Fakeaway” & “Create”. His third book “The Big Book of Baking” raised over €200,000 for Charity Jack & Jill.
Martin has had success in a variety of other ventures most notably as proud ambassador to Charity Cystic Fibrosis. In 2019, Martin launched his range of soups and sandwiches with coffee chain Insomnia, across their 400 outlets in Ireland. Martin has also worked on serval media campaigns. Those include; Safefood, Bord Bia, European Parliament, Try Lamb, Manor Farm, National Dairy Council, Connaught Gold, Nordmende to name a few.
