Matthew Brownie, originally from New Zealand is the proud owner of ‘The Skibbereen Food Company’. A snack company that he has been running for over 10 years that originally was created from CIT in conjunction with his Culinary Arts Degree. Matthew has been a professional chef for over 30 years, and lives in Skibbereen, West Cork. Matthew has grown his business to 5 ranges of snacks that are available throughout Ireland and beyond, and offers consumers allergen sensitive snacks. His culinary career has taken him to start his own cooking classes, to writing for The Irish Foodie Magazine in West Cork and making appearances on Irish Television, along with being a Demonstration Chef. Matthew also won The Small Business Award in West Cork for 2024.
